Inspired by subtle Scandinavian references and geometric details, Schemes & Spaces were tasked with completely updating the interiors of this 70’s red brick home to create a modern, practical and inviting family home.

“Our clients purchased this home for their family to grow into. So the inspiration was to create a functional and comfortable space for them and their two young boys. A home that would suit their lifestyle and provide them with happy memories.”

Working with the existing bones of the property, the renovation focused on changes to the floor plan to enhance the flow and functionality.

The showstopping kitchen was completely re-designed, combining the warmth of the timber accents, and offseting them through monochromatic joinery. Creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional space for the family of four.

Not the only room to receive the designer touch. As explained by Maria Roussos.

“We totally re-designed the bathroom and main entrance. We completley reconfigured the ground floor. Our team removed arches along with a small kitchenette, the laundry and bathroom combined and we created an additional bedroom.

We were also able to include a second living area to future proof the home for our client. Upstairs, we combined two bedrooms to create a master suite for the parents. But what we really loved was creating an open plan living/dining to enhance the distant water view and provide the family with inside out living.
